“Personal” Communications Use of Santiago Peak GMRS Repeater
CREST Communications, Inc., has made massive strides to improve communications for those of us living in
California and for the occasional visitor coming to our area. CREST has installed new equipment located in the
Santiago Peak Repeater.
CREST is offering very reasonable repeater service on the “Personal” tone of 146.2Hz on the frequency of
462.675MHz.
A courtesy beep may have been installed on the “Personal” tone with a two minute time-out timer to minimize
misuse and interference. As always, “Personal” subscribers need to monitor “open squelch” or “open tone” for
ten seconds before transmitting so as not to interfere with any other communications on the frequency.
The system is supported by on-the-air monitors. We attempt to quickly respond to any inquiries or concerns by
contacting us through telephone, email, or on the radio.
Former subscription rates were $50.00 annually for each user or $75.00 annually for an entire family using the
same call sign. These fees have been suspended until further notice. There are no use fees and your agreement is
valid until December 31, 2021. This free service may be modified at any time.
Using “Personal” is as easy as 1-2-3. . .
1. Sign and return the CREST copy of the enclosed Agreement (and keep your
copy with your station records.
2. Indicate on the Agreement your FCC GMRS license expiration date.
3. Understand the CREST “on-the-air” protocol.

CREST Communications, Inc. enters into the following AGREEMENT with the undersigned. The parties
hereto agree to the following terms and conditions.
CREST Communications, Inc., the Repeater Owner, is allowing the use of the Santiago Repeater frequency of
462.675MHz, CTCSS tone of 146.2Hz (“Personal”) with this Agreement. All “Personal” Users shall be aware
of other operating tones in this repeater. (Tone 141.3Hz is used by the CREST membership.)
CREST shall be the authorizing power for their Users under this Agreement on the “Personal” tone and such
authorized.
Nothing in this authorization shall prevent CREST from authorizing additional users on the “Personal” tone for
communications similar to and compatible with the operations of CREST.
CREST shall maintain in our records a valid FCC license from the licensee for such operation. CREST requires
that all “Personal” Users have a valid GMRS license issued by the FCC. All Users shall maintain a current
address and telephone number with CREST.
CREST will actively and vigorously enforce FCC rules and regulations which apply to the repeater for all
operations by all Users. CREST retains the right to terminate the use of “Personal” Users due to any violation of
the FCC rules and regulations.
This Agreement shall become effective on the date signed below. “Personal” Users subscribe for a one year period
which expires on December 31 and is renewable each year.
Should either party wish to terminate this Agreement without cause, written notice shall be given not less than
thirty (30) days prior to the intended termination date. Either party may terminate this Agreement immediately
and without written notice in the event of a breach of any of the terms of this Agreement or any future amendments
made a part hereof. This agreement automatically terminates upon the expiration of the subscriber’s FCC GMRS
