How can technology, collective intelligence, and volunteer-driven innovation reshape disaster response?

On 25-26 February 2025, Tech4R, together with ATÖLYE, Bridge to Türkiye Fund, UN Volunteers, HP Life, EKA, and Ljus, brought together 41 online volunteers from 22 countries for a Designathon dedicated to rethinking disaster resilience through Low-Code/No-Code (LC/NC) solutions.
The event, held on the second anniversary of the post-earthquake workshop at ATÖLYE, marked an important step toward scaling digital solutions for real-world impact. From field coordination dashboards to missing children tracking tools, volunteers developed prototypes addressing urgent challenges faced by NGOs working on the ground.
