(My explanation about how the colors are directions is a little simplified, but it's the easiest way of thinking about it, heh. Also, helpful tip - if you're working in Godot, the vertical axis is flipped, where negative is up and positive is down, so you'll want to invert the green color on your normal maps, otherwise lights above your head will illuminate you from below lmao)
