"Wait a minute! What should I do?"

Amid the hustle and bustle of the lobby, I heard that thin voice and stopped in my tracks. The voice was from a young woman in a suit.

In front of me, a pair of foreign businessmen were rambling on in rapid English.

"My boss was supposed to come, but he was delayed because of an accident and traffic jam...um...what should I do..."

When I saw her half crying as she said that, I felt like I couldn't just leave her alone.

I'm just a parking attendant, but I can speak English to a certain extent. I take a breath and call out to her, hoping to be of some help.

"I can help you if you want."

"What? But you..."

It's no wonder she's surprised. I'm just a lowly parking attendant at this hotel. Normally, she wouldn't expect me to do that.
