Train Graveyard and Locomotive Cemetery on a Beautiful Weathered Model Railroad Layout in HO Scale

190939 2800________

There are an infinite number of scenes and scenarios that can be depicted on a model railroad layout. Rudi Nelissen, a famous model railroader living in Belgium, decided to build a replica of a locomotive cemetery or train graveyard. Rudi Nelissen used the word “terminus” to label his model train layout, which can have various meanings, for example, not just the last stop of a train (terminus), but also the final end of rolling stock or the end of everything.

In the Belgian city of Monceau, there is an abandoned locomotive shed, which inspired Rudi Nelissen to construct his modular model railway layout. In addition, the atmosphere of his model train layout was to be defined by dirt, rust, discarded locomotives, garbage, grime and abandoned places. As we can see in the video, Rudi Nelissen has succeeded perfectly in creating this gloomy atmosphere: Many details, perfect weathering, graffiti on the trains, rust on locomotives and dirt on the buildings characterize this miniature world in HO scale.
