Araucaria Araucana is native to lower slopes of south-central Andes Mountains in Chile and Argentina.
Araucaria can grow up to 50 meters (160 feet) tall.
The leaves of Araucaria are scale like and have a lifespan of 24 years.
It takes 30 to 40 years for Araucaria to get mature and produce seeds.
Female cones are 15 centimeters (6 inch) long and take 2-3 years to mature.
Araucaria seeds are Pine nut like and are edible.
